About Us

San Juan Sledders Snowmobile Club is a 501c3 non-profit organization, working closely with the local US Forest Service and BLM offices to provide a quality winter recreation opportunity for everyone.

 

Our Objectives:

  • Family fun

  • Educate people on fun, safe ways to recreate on snowmobiles

  • Host snowmobile safety training classes

  • Avalanche awareness classes

  • Fun days for people with special needs

  • Club rides throughout the winter

  • Work with the Forest Service and BLM to keep trails open to all types of recreational use

 

We Groom:

  • Over 300 miles of winter recreation trails

  • From 9 trailheads

  • In 6 counties,

 

We Serve:

  • Durango

  • Mancos

  • Dolores

  • Rico

  • Bayfield

  • Vallecito

  • Purgatory.

 

Our Trails:

  • Beaver Meadows

  • Vallecito Middle Mountain Road

  • Missionary Ridge

  • Hermosa Park over Bolam Pass to Barlow Creek

  • Echo Basin Road

  • West Mancos

These trails are used for snowmobiling, dog sledding, cross country skiing, fat tire biking, and snow shoeing.
